Integrated communications agency Interel has announced the opening of a Beijing office which will offer public affairs and government relations advice to international clients in China and Chinese clients investing internationally.
The office will be headed by Interel China’s newly appointed managing partner Mark Pinner.
Before joining Interel, Pinner worked for Chinese MNC Lenovo in Beijing. Pinner has held numerous public affairs consultancy roles in London and Beijing and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.
Fredrik Lofthagen, Interel Group CEO, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of the China office and to welcome Mark to the team.
“This move reflects the growing demand from multinational businesses for government relations and public affairs services in China. Following the opening of our India office two years ago, this step also shows our commitment to building our business in Asia.”
Mark Pinner, Interel China’s managing partner, said: “I’m excited to join Interel’s impressive team and be part of their global expansion. Given Interel’s client base and expertise it’s the right moment to expand into China, while their global reach is perfect for the needs of Chinese companies investing abroad. I look forward to delivering solutions for both international investors in China and Chinese companies around the world.”
