Communications consultancy MHP is set to merge its corporate and public affairs teams into one unit led by chief operating officer Jonathan Lomax, while long-serving head of public affairs Fiona Holroyde will not return from her maternity leave.
MHP’s head of corporate Mark Cater is also set to leave the agency. Cater, formerly head of Cohn & Wolfe New York, was brought to MHP in 2011 to develop its global offering.
MHP Director Ian Kirby said:
“It is clear that clients today want us to provide strategic, integrated support for the complex communications challenges they face. That’s true across our broad range of skills, and delivering that is what MHP is all about”
“It is perhaps particularly true across corporate PR and public affairs, and so it simply makes sense to integrate the two practices to form one very strong team, incorporating Brussels and Edinburgh as well.
“Making this change will allow us to continue to lead the market in delivering specialist and expert advice on corporate PR and public affairs whilst at the same time being better able to respond flexibly to new and existing client briefs.”
