Riverside Communications has been appointed by the Haven Gateway Partnership to gather support and funding for upgrades to the A120 road which joins the port of Harwich in Suffolk with Stansted Airport in Essex.
The brief will cover public affairs and corporate communications, working with stakeholders in the region as well as central government.
The account will be led by Dave McCullough, managing director of Riverside Communications, and Mark Adams, senior counsel. Adams, a former private secretary to John Major and Tony Blair, joined Riverside Communications only weeks ago.
The Haven Gateway Partnership was created in 2001 in order to promote the area as a distinct economic sub region based upon its links with the Haven Ports of Felixstowe and Harwich.
Commenting, Riverside Communications managing director Dave McCullough said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Haven Gateway on this exciting campaign. The government has made a lot of noise about infrastructure spending, and nowhere is this needed more than the A120. Our key role will be to assist HGP with telling
their story and proving their case over the coming months.”
